Cards project
#ChristmasCompassion - Our Christmas Card project with local schools has involved 30+ schools creating around 6000 cards over the last 3 years.
Each card is individually designed and hand-written by a school child and delivered to someone in need, to brighten their Christmas.
Eight designs from each year’s entries are chosen to help with fund-raising the following year.
Entries must only be on the blank red-bordered cards that we supply to schools free of charge.
Pupils aged 5-11 years create their festive design on the front, add their first name, age and school on the inside and a personal hand written message (or funny Christmas joke) for the unknown recipient. All cards are read before we send them out.

According to the Office for National Statistics, approximately 1 in 6 people live alone in the UK.
Seasonal events can be a lonely time for many people, where they feel forgotten and depressed. Receiving a unique card with a hand-written message from a local child can make a difference.
Our partners, 3SG, can send a Christmas smile for either a local organisation or an individual living in BaNES by clicking the links shown.
